Privacy Policy

The short version
TREVUMI has no accounts, no tracking, and no database of yours to breach. The trips you create - places, transport modes, day counts, and photos - are stored only in your browser (localStorage) on your device. We cannot see them. Deleting a trip in the app, or clearing your browser data, permanently removes it.
What leaves your device
To draw maps and calculate routes, the app requests data from public map services. These requests necessarily include the coordinates being searched or routed and your IP address, like any website you visit:
- Photon (komoot) - place search text, to return address suggestions.
- OSRM (FOSSGIS / OpenStreetMap) - start/end coordinates of segments, to compute road routes.
- CARTO, OpenFreeMap, Esri - map tile requests for the areas you view.
We send them nothing else - no names, no photos, no trip titles. Each service operates under its own privacy policy.
Photos
Photos you attach to a stop are resized and re-encoded on your device before being stored locally. This re-encoding strips embedded metadata such as GPS location (EXIF). Photos are never uploaded anywhere; they appear only in the videos you choose to export and share yourself.
Video exports
Videos are rendered entirely in your browser. The finished MP4 exists only on your device until you share it.
Location tracking
TREVUMI never accesses your device's GPS or location services, in the browser or in the mobile apps. Trips are reconstructed only from places you type in yourself.
Analytics and cookies
The app sets no advertising or analytics cookies. If privacy-friendly, aggregate analytics are ever added, this policy will be updated first.
